Josh Duhamel Reveals the Reason for His Split from Fergie

In an interview with “In Depth With Graham Bensinger” on Wednesday, October 4, Hollywood actor Josh Duhamel unveiled the true reason behind his separation from his ex-wife, Fergie. According to Duhamel, there was nothing inherently wrong with their relationship. He explained, “We had a great time. I think we kind of outgrew each other and had very different interests.”

Reflecting on his marriage to the former Black Eyed Peas singer, which lasted for eight years before ending in 2017, Duhamel revealed his struggle with handling the spotlight while they were together. He expressed discomfort with red carpets and the Hollywood lifestyle, stating, “I’m just not a guy who is comfortable going to red carpets, doing all the Hollywood stuff.”

At one point, the 50-year-old “Transformers” star admitted to feeling the absence of his true self and attempted to convince Fergie, 48, to move to his native North Dakota. However, he came to the realization that the life he desired was not suitable for Fergie, who was born and raised in Southern California.

Despite their separation, Duhamel holds no resentment towards Fergie, emphasizing, “I’ve got no hard feelings for it. I truly don’t. I’m very lucky that she’s a kind human.”

Following their divorce in 2019, Duhamel and Fergie have been co-parenting their 10-year-old son, Axl. Additionally, the “Buddy Games” actor has returned to his roots by relocating to North Dakota and purchasing a lake house. He explained, “Having this place out here almost helps my career because I can get back to being who I really am.”
