The 22-years-of-age basketball point guard was born as Dejounte Dashaun Murray on 19 September 1996. He grew up in his hometown of Seattle, Washington, the United States. He has a younger brother named Nate Murray.

Dejounte, who stands tall at a height of 6 feet and 5 inches (1.96 m), attended Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, Washington. Later, he proceeded to the University of Washington, where he commenced his amateur basketball career.

NBA Career: Stats, Injury

Dejounte Murray entered the mammoth NBA stage as a 29th overall pick of the San Antonio Spurs in the 2016 NBA Draft. He signed a rookie-scale contract with the Spurs on 14 July 2016. Later on 29 October the same year, Dejounte played his first game for the Spurs, where he recorded two rebounds and one assist on his side’s 98-79 triumph over the New Orleans Pelicans.

The talented basketball star ruled out of the playoffs with a leg injury on 5 May 2017. He came back strong in the 2017-18 season recording 16 points, five rebounds, and two assists during the season-opener 107-99 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on 18 October 2017.

Unfortunately, Dejounte suffered a torn right anterior cruciate ligament in a preseason game during the 2018-19 season.
