Gregory John Gutfeld was born on 12 September 1964 to parents Alfred Gutfeld and Jackie Gutfeld. He grew up along with three sisters in San Mateo, California.

Standing at a height of 5 feet 6 inches (1.68 meters), he pursued his high school education from Junípero Serra High School. Later, he went to the University of California, from where he graduated with a B.A. in English at the age of 23 in 1987.

Initially, Greg was a staff writer at Prevention magazine and also as an editor at various Rodale Press magazines. In 1995, he joined Men’s Health magazine as a staff writer and promoted to editor in chief after four years.

Moreover, he holds the experience of working on various magazines such as Stuff, Maxim, and The Huffington Post. In 2007, Gutfeld joined Fox News Channel as a contributor. He hosted late-night/early-morning satirical talk show, Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld from 2007 to 2015 on Fox News.

The 54-year-old also runs his own site, The Daily Gut, where he writes a blog about the news and pop culture of the day.
