Born as Joy-Ann M. Lomena-Reid, the American Reporter works for MSNBC cable network. She is currently the national correspondent who also had an hour-long weekday MSNBC political commentary show, The Reid Report.

The 50-year-old was born on 8 December 1968 in Brooklyn, New York. Talking about her family, Joy’s father was an engineer also involved with the Democratic Republic of Congo while her mother of British Guiana was a college professor and nutritionist. Her parents first meeting was in graduate school at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Unfortunately, they parted ways, and her dad shifted back to Congo. Likewise, the MSNBC was raised Methodist along with her sister and brother. Joy until the age of 17 was in Denver, Colorado, when her mother demised of breast cancer.
Joy is a graduate student at Harvard University in 1991 with a concentration in film. The new personality stands 5 feet 9 inches (1.75 m) and belongs to mixed descent.
