The player was born on 17 March 1981 in Paramount, California to parents, Kevin Korver and Laine Korver. His father works as a pastor for the Third Reformed Church in Pella, Iowa. He is the eldest child in the family with three brothers named Kaleb, Klayton and late Kirk Korver. The youngest, Kirk passed away at the age of 27 in 2017 due to illness.
