Professional Background

Lacy Wright, OTD, OTR/L, BCP, is a clinical assistant professor in the KU Department of Occupational Therapy Education at KU Medical Center. She joined the faculty in December 2022 and teaches courses in areas including pediatrics and intellectual disabilities.

After earning her master's degree in occupational therapy from California State University Dominguez Hills in 2011, Wright received her post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy from KU in fall 2022. Her capstone project explored the use of computer-based simulations to enhance occupational therapy student learning.

For more than ten years, Wright he has worked with pediatric clients in schools and outpatient services settings. She is passionate about supporting participation and meaningful employment for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
