Lady Gaga Tones Down Appearance to Meet President Obama – the Hollywood Reporter

Lady Gaga is hardly known for her reverent apparel, so when she met President Obama at one of his California fundraisers, she was actually rather subdued – for her: she wore a black dress with a plunge back, very high heels, and her hair in an up do with black flowers and a black veil sweeping down her hair.

The meeting was all of a few minutes, but Gaga blasted this to the tweetasphere:
“I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it.”

This referred to the youth bullying issue that lead to the suicide of Jamey Rodemeyer, a 14 year old Gaga fan, who was picked on for being gay.

Meanwhile, President Obama did not find her outfit demure. “She was wearing 16-inch heels,” he said in a recent address. “She was eight feet tall. It was a little intimidating.”

No wonder Gaga wears those crazy shoes.
