LeBron James is an American professional basketball player, and actor. He plays for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He previously played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat. Considered as one of the greatest players of the sport, he is the all-time leading scorer in NBA history, has won four NBA championships, and has earned four Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards, four Finals MVP Awards, and two Olympic gold medals. He is the first player in NBA history to accumulate $1 billion as an active player. LeBron has been featured in endorsement contracts, documentaries, commercials, and films, including Trainwreck, Smallfoot, and Space Jam: A New Legacy. He has been part-owner of English soccer team Liverpool F.C. He leads his LeBron James Family Foundation, a charity, which has opened an elementary school, housing complex, retail plaza, and medical center in his hometown of Akron. He is also known as Bron, LBJ, and “King James.” LeBron is 6′9″.

He is the son of Gloria Marie James, a single mother who was sixteen when he was born, and Anthony McClelland. LeBron is married to Savannah Brinson, with whom he has three children, including basketball players Bronny James and Bryce James.

LeBron’s maternal grandfather is named Willie Lee James.
