The newest film about the medieval king — 'King Arthur: Legend of the Sword,' starring Hunnam — hits theaters May 12.
A combination of romance, action and adventure are brought to the big screen with every King Arthur film. Each movie focuses on the legend and mythology behind of Arthur's reign and the Knights of the Round Table.
However, in the two most recent films — King Arthur (2004) and Guy Ritchie's King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017) — the magic is left out to tell a more realistic story set in the period when the Roman Empire collapsed and power broke out in outlying countries. The journey follows Arthur as he struggles to remain King of England and defend his people.

This musical tells the story of King Arthur and Guenevere (Vanessa Redgrave)'s marriage. Guenevere begins having feelings for Lancelot (Franco Nero), who threatens to destroy Arthur's round table of knights. In 1968, Camelot won three Oscars, for best art direction-set decoration, best costume design and best music.
Harris died Oct. 25, 2002, at the age of 72. He was best known for his work in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) as Dumbledore. He scored an Oscar nomination in 1963 for his work in This Sporting Life.
