“The language of money is an interesting one. It is mostly a silent one. If you rush into it, you might misunderstand it. It is a language of patience, studying, and predicting,” the former Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) chairman said, as quoted by Capital FM.
What was Jimnah Mbaru's first business?
According to Business Daily, He started honing his business acumen in primary school. He dealt with scrap metal when he was in elementary school to supplement his income.
Upon enrolling in Kirogo Secondary in 1963, he became involved in the fast-moving goods industry, which was more profitable and well-liked by his contemporaries.
“In high school, I traded in scones, buying 15 for a shilling and then selling each for ten cents. I would make 50 per cent profit. As a student at the university, I used to trade in the NSE and also lend students money," he revealed.
