One man is dead following an early morning shooting on the 1800 block of South Virginia Street Saturday near the Econo Lodge.
The Reno Police Department (RPD) says it responded to the area around 8:00 a.m. after reports of a shooting earlier in the morning.

Once on scene, police found a man who had succumbed to injuries caused by an apparent gunshot wound. Officials say 30-year-old Shaundale Parker of Pittsburg, California was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials say the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest.
Detectives with the Robbery Homicide Unit are investigating the incident. Officials say the manner of death is homicide.
There are no outstanding suspects and no immediate threat to the public in relation to the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
