Mancini’s Closes in Fort Lauderdale

Mancini Modern Italian, downtown Fort lauderdale, has closed.

“I’m in the building business, I want to refocus on that,” owner Jack Mancini told my colleague Miriam Valverde.

Mancini said he’d consider opening another restaurant down the road, one that’s more casual and not fine dining as his last spot in downtown Fort Lauderdale.

While he doesn’t have a site selected, he’d be open to explore elsewhere in Fort Lauderdale or Miami, he said.

Mancini Modern Italian, on a side street just off Las Olas Boulevard, did not get as much traffic as other restaurants on the main boulevard, he said.
