Margo Martindale was born on 18 July 1951 in Jacksonville, Texas, the U.S. as a daughter of father, William Everett Martin, dale and mother, Margaret Martindale. Her father used to own an operated rate lumber company, where he is also known as a champion dog handler. Among three children, she is the youngest child of her parents, where she had two brothers as siblings. Her oldest brother, Billy Martin, dale is one of the professional golfers and known as a golf designer, but another brother, Bobby, Tim, the middle child of her parents, died in the y of 2004.

In the year 1986, Martindale Mar to Bill Boals, who is a musician. They gave birth to their daughter and na as Margaret.
