Art is beautiful. The beauty of art is that it’s door is always open for everyone. There is no biasness,  no judgment, and no evaluation in its raw state. Maya Hawke was the one. It is the process of outpouring emotions of human mind in different forms. But it is the human who tries to judge and evaluate the piece of art to show their supremacy and lessens its value. The power of art has really shown its magic in different lives of people including Maya Hawke. Maya got the direction in life with the help of art. She found her passion for acting and has been contributing immensely to society. Acting became her great companion in her life. Maya is famous for her role in the Netflix series “Stranger Things” and also for her appearance in “Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.” She has also done modelling projects for “Vogue” magazine.    

Early Life

Uman Thurman, a famous actress, gave birth to Maya Hawke on July 8, 1998. Maya’s age is currently 22 years. Her father, Ethan Hawk, is a famous actor. She belongs to the English, Scottish/ Northern Irish ancestry. Her nationality is American.

Likewise, her parents met during the shoot of Gattaca in 1997. After they understood each other for a year, they tied their knot in May 1998. Everything was going great between the couple. They had their baby boy in 2002. Unfortunately, the couple divorced each other, after the seven years of their marriage in 2005.  Likewise, Maya Hawke has three half sisters, 2-from her father’s second wife Ryan Shawhughes and one- from her mother’s ex fiance, Arpand Busson.

Not only her parents are the actors but both of them have ancestries in the film industry. She is related to playwright Tennessee Williams as a great-great-grandniece from her father’s side. Whereas, she is related to Robert A.F. Thurman, a Buddhist Scholar, and model Nena Von Schlebrugge as a granddaughter from her mother’s side. Also, if we look closely into the family background of Nena. Nena’s mother,Brigit Holmquist, was also a model. She had posed for the Axel Ebbe’s statue Famntaget, in Symgehuk, Sweden.

Education

Maya Hawke had to struggle a lot for her academic career. She changed many schools till her primary education. It was not because of her incompatibility or lack of adjusting behaviour. But because of her problem in reading and writing. Maya was suffering from Dyslexia and she struggled a lot for reading and writing. Then, she joined Saint Ann’s School. It was a private school in Brooklyn, New York. 

The school became a boon in the life of Maya Hawke. It didn’t focus on grades and theoretical knowledge but in artistic creativity. Likewise, it also didn’t do grade evaluation. And the artistic environment of the school found her strength-acting. And to enhance the strength and enjoy every moment of it, she grabbed every opportunity connected with it. 

Later, Maya Hawke joined the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London for summer studies. And she was also part of the famous acting studio; Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York. Then, there was a turning point in her life. She became the part of the movie “Little Women” in 2017 but she had to drop out of the Julliard performing art school in the middle. She only attended the school for a year.
