Minecraft 1.17 Snapshot 21W17A - Patch Notes, Release Date, Time (Today, April 28)

Minecraft 1.17 Update, also known as the Caves and Cliffs update, was earlier slated to release later this year. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, it was announced that the update will be split into halves, with the first one coming in Summer 2021, while the second one will arrive during the Holidays.

Every week the developer Mojang Studios releases a Snapshot which includes one of the features of the Caves and Cliffs update. This week, we will be getting Minecraft 1.17 Snapshot 21w17a, and here is all you need to know about it.

When will Minecraft Snapshot 21w17a release?

Last week, Snapshot 21w16aw was released and dripstone growth was added to the game. There was a wide range of bug fixes and performance improvements alongside that as well. The next Snapshot 21w17a, has been released and is already available for download.

Here are the patch notes of Minecraft 1.17 Snapshot 21w17a.

• Small Dripleaves can now also be placed on Moss Blocks
• Copper Ore drops 2-3 raw Copper when mined, or more when using a tool enchanted with Fortune
• Copper Blocks are now crafted from 9 Copper Ingots
• Tweaked the texture of raw Metal blocks
