MLB: The Show 22 features five different pitching systems to choose from to fully customize your pitching experience. The pitching interfaces are Pure Analog, Meter, Classic, Pulse, and Pinpoint. The pitching interface can be changed in pitching settings in any mode.
Pure Analog
The Pure Analog pitching system uses the right stick for velocity and release. With this system, you aim the pitch, then pull the right stick back for speed and push it forward towards your aiming spot. The Pure Analog is easy to use and gives a little bit of realism to the wind-up and throw.
Meter
The Meter system uses a simple one-button control that requires timing the speed and release. With the Meter enabled, hold the pitch button until the meter gets to the end, then press the pitch button again when the meter is coming back. The Meter is the most simple system but still requires timing.
