More Old Country Buffet and Ryan's Locations Close — Ovation Brands

If you're a fan of all-you-can-eat buffets, listen up: At least 11 Old Country Buffet and Ryan's locations suddenly closed up shop this past Tuesday, according to Consumerist. This is just the latest round of sudden restaurant closings for Ovation Brands, the company that operates Old Country Buffet, Ryan's, HomeTown Buffet, and Fire Mountain, with more than 400 Old Country Buffet locations closing down in the past eight years, according toStar Tribune.

Here's a list of the locations that closed last Tuesday, reports Consumerist:

• San Jose, CA
• Arlington Heights, IL
• Laurel, MD
• Wyoming, MI
• Duluth, MN
• Mankato, MN
• Greenwood, SC (Ryan's)
• Alcoa, TN (Ryan's)
• Crossville, TN (Ryan's)
• Bellingham, WA
• Onalasca, WI

The most recent closings mean that there is only one Old Country Buffet left in Minnesota, the state where the chain launched in 1983. The Star Tribune reports that some of the closed restaurants will be auctioning off restaurant supplies at AuctionNation.com, including restaurant signs, furniture, kitchen equipment—even crayons.
