Are all humans shallow?

A new study published in Behavioral Ecology reveals that humans are inherently shallow creatures when it comes to looks and, on top of that, our built-in triggers for what we find appealing are probably just a bunch of garbage anyway.

Why are many people shallow?

People are shallow because they are insecure and want to make themselves feel better by bringing someone else down for their ego. Or they just have too high of a standard, that cannot be reached especially if the other person knows that, they clearly would not like each other or fit with each other.
