Nabiyah Be is a Brazilian actress. She is the daughter of Sonia Gomes and Jamaican ska, rocksteady, reggae, and soul musician, and actor Jimmy Cliff (born James Chambers). Her father was born in St. James, Colony of Jamaica. Her mother is Brazilian.

Her father descends from bands of Afro-Caribbean slaves known as “Maroons,” who became independent and established free communities in the mountainous interior of the country.
