Naomi Grace Scott is an English actor and singer who is best known for her role as Princess Jasmine in Disney’s fantasy film Aladdin. She rose to fame in 2011 for her role in the Sci-fi series Terra Nova and the 2011 teen film Lemonade Mouth. She has also appeared in the 2019 action-comedy Charlie’s Angels and the 2017 superhero action movie Power Rangers.

Naomi Scott was born on May 6, 1993, in Hounslow, London. She is of mixed Indian-English descent. She was born to Usha Joshi who is of Indian Gujarati descent while her father Christopher Scott is English. She is the second child of the couple. She, along with her family, moved to Woodford, North East London where she attended Davenant Foundation School in Essex. Her parents were pastors at the local Bridge church. She grew up listening to Mary Mary, Kirk Franklin, and Kim Burrell. She also sang at the local church. She has an older brother, Joshua. To pursue her role in the series Terra Nova, she left her school halfway.
