Ntsa Exam: Dates, Booking, and How to Check Your Results

Have you completed a driving course and are confident with your knowledge? If yes, it’s time to apply for an NTSA exam. This exam takes place at NTSA offices nearest your driving school. For those within Nairobi, it can be conducted in NTSA offices in the Industrial area or an approved police station.

The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) was established to bring sanity to Kenyan roads. NTSA is responsible for transport licensing, motor vehicle registration and inspection, road safety, driver testing and some traffic law enforcement.

NTSA exam booking fee

The NTSA exam booking fee is Ksh. 1050 and can be paid online through eCitizen NTSA. If you have yet to open an eCitizen account, don't fret – you can do it in seconds. All you need is your ID number.

NTSA exam dates

When booking for a driving test, you must state the date, time and location where you'd like to do it. Upon payment of the booking fee, you'll be given an NTSA driving test booking certificate.

All driving tests happen at Driving Test Units, which are based nationwide. The tests are conducted by a driving test examiner (DTE), and they test the applicants:

• Knowledge of road signals and signs
• Knowledge of road rules
• Knowledge of any authorised highway or road code
• Physical fitness to handle a motor vehicle of the class for which the license is needed
