Marcus Zegarowski | Early Life

The basketball player was born on August 3, 1998, under Leo’s sun sign to his parents, Amanda Carter-Zegarowski and Zach Zegarowski. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Marcus has three siblings. 

He has an older brother, Michael, an older sister, Masey, and a twin brother Max.

As a matter of fact, Marcus comes from a family of NBA players. 

Father, Zach Zegarowski

Zach, a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, used to be a college basketball player for the University of Massachusetts men’s basketball team.

Since his high school days, he used to be a scholarship basketball player for the River Hawks.

Later in his days, Zach coached basketball and JV baseball alongside Head Coach Jack O’Brien.

Furthermore, he was also an assistant coach for the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School Boys’ Varsity Basketball team.

Mother, Amanda Carter-Zegarowski

Amanda Carter-Zegarowski, a graduate of Salem State College, used to be a head coach for the Ipswich High School girls’ basketball team. She herself also played basketball for her college team.

Later, after college, she starred as the instructor of youth clinics at the Hamilton Recreation Center.

Following it, she also coached JV Girls’ Basketball team at Hamilton Wenham High School.

With her successful coaching career, Amanda founded A-Z Sports Management, consulting company for professional athletes and businesses.

Apart from it, she is also the one to create MCW Starz LLC.

An elder brother, Michael Zegarowski (Carter-Williams)

Marcu’s elder brother, Michael is currently a point guard for the National Basketball Association (NBA). Starting his career in 2013, at present, Michael plays for the Orlando Magic. 

Evidently, some of the former teams he has played with are the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Hornets, and Houston Rockets. 

He is a graduate of Syracuse University, first drafted as the 11th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft.

An elder sister, Masey Zegarowski  

Graduating from Bryant, Masey is a former basketball player for the Bryant Bulldogs women’s basketball of the Northeast Conference.

Like all of her family members, she started playing in her high school days. 

As a matter of fact, Masey played for Ipswich High School, followed by Tilton School, and finally for Bryant. During her career frame, she averaged 2.2 rebounds and 0.9 steals per game.

Twin brother, Max Zegarowski 

Max is currently playing for the Franklin Pierce Ravens as a forward. He initially played for the Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School and Tilton Academy. 

Later, he played for Lynn University before transferring to Franklin Pierce.
