Allen has a 3,000 square foot home on Mercer Island that is valued at $5.4 million. He first bought Allan Island in Washington in 1992. However, in 2013, he sold the island for $8 million.

After owning a sheep ranch in Tetonia, Idaho from 1993 to 2009, Paul ran Teton Ridge Ranch, a five-star luxury mountain lodge. In late 2014, he also owned his favorite Seattle movie theater.

Allen owned a number of high-end boats, including the 303-foot Tatoosh and the 414-foot Octopus. His other opulent residences are in Holland Park, London, and Villa Maryland, St. Jean Cap-Ferrat, Côte d’Azur.
