The driver was born on 23 August 1990 (age 33 as of 2023) in Wisconsin, United States. He is the son of Scott Swan (father) and Meribeth Swan (mother). Also, he has one sibling whose name is not in the public domain.

Paul Swan grew up in Wisconsin. He attended Oconomowoc High School, a public high school in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, United States. After high school, he attended Bowling Green State University on a scholarship to study Exercise Science.

He subsequently played football for his college team, The Bowling Green Falcons, as a linebacker and became a two-year captain of his team until his career ended in 2013. But after playing college football for four years, he moved to North Carolina, United States, where he developed a passion for NASCAR.

Professional career

Paul did not know much about NASCAR after playing college football. He drove all over the Midwest trying to build a career as a racer. Paul participated in model and ARCA races while taking all the opportunities to train himself.

He then became a pit crew member at NASCAR. Paul joined RCR in 2014 as a strength trainer for the team. However, he rose through the ranks and became the team’s tire carrier. In October 2022, he signed a 6-year contract with Richard Childress Racing as a tire carrier. Also, the same year, he became a reality television star.

He began appearing in Austin Dillon’s Life in the Fast Lane alongside his best friends, Austin, Winfrey, and his wife, Mariel. Paul Swan’s career at NASCAR has allowed him to work at the top echelon Sprint Cup Series.

In 2018, he helped his friend Austin Dillion win the 2018 Daytona 500. Also, he has helped Austin win the 2021 Bluegreen Vacations Duels and the 2022 Coke Zero Sugar 400.
