Question: How to Set Affinity in Windows 10?
Contents

What is set affinity?

Processor affinity, or CPU pinning, enables the binding and unbinding of a process or a thread to a central processing unit (CPU) or a range of CPUs, so that the process or thread will execute only on the designated CPU or CPUs rather than any CPU.

How do I give a program more processing power?

  • Start Task Manager (Right Click on the Start Bar and select Task Manager)
  • Click on the Processes tab.
  • Right Click on the required process and select “Set Priority”
  • You can then select a different priority.
  • Close Task Manager.
