Android TV
What is meant by Android TV?
Android TV is a smart TV platform from Google built around the Android operating system. Users can stream content to your TV via apps, both free and paid, using your internet connection. On that front, it’s the same as Roku and Amazon Fire.
What is the difference between a smart TV and an Android TV?
One works on the manufacturers own OS like the Sony or LG whereas Android TV uses Android as it’s platform. So you get more versatility and apps as you get on any Android device. The Smart Tv is the complete category of connected televisions whereas Android tv is an operating system designed to be used on smart tv.
