What to do when SMS is not sending?
Be Certain SMS Sending is Enabled on iPhone
- Open the Settings app and go to “Message”
- Locate the switch for “Send as SMS” and turn this to the ON position (if send as SMS is already on, try turning it off for about 10 seconds and then turn it back on again)
- Return to Messages and try sending the text message again.
Why can’t I send a text message?
If you receive messages on one device but not the other. You can also set up Text Message Forwarding so you can send and receive MMS and SMS messages on all of your Apple devices. If you don’t have an iPhone, you can only send and receive messages with your Apple ID to other Apple devices using iMessage.
