First, pop open the Messages app and navigate to the troublesome chat.
Tap Details, scroll down, then tap Leave this Conversation.
Just like that, you’ll be removed from the chat and be able to regain some peace and quiet.
Pop into a text chat then tap Details to leave a conversation.
Why can’t I leave a group chat on iMessage?
In the “Details” section, you can quit the thread by choosing “Leave this Conversation” in red. If that option is grayed-out (as seen above), it means someone in the group text does not have iMessage on or is running an older version of iOS.
