Rainn Wilson is an actor/writer/producer from America. He is widely famous for his portrayal of Dwight Schrute in the 2005 to 2013 NBC sitcom “The Office.” He has also made appearances in “Galaxy Quest,” “Juno,” “The Life Coach,” “Army of One,” “Shimmer Lake,” “The Meg,” “Six Feet Under,” “Entourage,” “Backstrom,” and several other films and television series.

 In twenty-seven years, the fifty-four-year-old veteran actor has made appearances in over thirty films, several theatre productions, and twenty-five television series. He has also done voice roles for numerous characters in cinema and television. For his acting performances, Wilson has also won quite a lot of award nominations.

Early Life

Rainn Dietrich Wilson was born to Shay Cooper and Robert G. Wilson on 20th January 1966 at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. His father worked as a business consultant and wrote novels while his mother was an actress and worked as a yoga teacher. He used to play clarinet and bassoon for his high school band.

He completed his primary schooling from Kellog Middle School and attended Shorecrest High School. He then transferred to New Trier High School and completed his high school studies. He then graduated with a bachelor’s degree in drama from the University of Washington in 1986. He also has a Master of Fine Arts degree in acting from Tisch School of the Arts.
