Ray J Seeks Court’s Dismissal of Divorce Case Against Wife Princess Love Due to Reconciliation

Ray J has requested the court to dismiss his divorce petition against wife Princess Love following their recent reconciliation.

According to a TMZ article on Wednesday, the 42-year-old singer filed legal documents in Los Angeles to terminate the divorce proceedings.

In January, Ray J, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., took to Instagram to celebrate his birthday with Princess, 38, in Las Vegas and announced his intention to “start fresh” with her.

In a caption, he wrote in all caps, “Had to get my wife back and start fresh. I love my family!!,” along with a video tour of his hotel suite while singing Happy Birthday to himself.

He also declared in the caption that he would continuously “fight” for his family and his children’s happiness.

Ray J and Princess Love tied the knot in 2016 and have four-year-old daughter Melody and three-year-old son Epik together.

Ray J initiated divorce proceedings in October 2021 after previously filing for divorce in September 2020.

Princess initially filed for divorce in May 2020 shortly after a major altercation with Ray J in Las Vegas.

Ray J rose to fame with his debut album Everything You Want in 1997, and gained further attention a decade later when a sex tape with then-girlfriend Kim Kardashian was leaked.

Additionally, he has released studio albums such as This Ain’t a Game in 2001, Raydiation in 2005, and All I Feel in 2008.

Ray J has also appeared in television shows like Love & Hip-Hop and Celebrity Big Brother, as well as movies including Sharknado 3 and Slasher Party.
