If you have spare wire hooks, you can get a pair of cutters, clamp some, and bend them to fit the pulley. Obviously, they don't have protective elements on their heads, so be careful. Take an extra long clip and remove the plastic ends. I've been doing this for years, it works really well and it's very cheap.
