Rapper Rick Ross began his rap career as Teflon Da Don, but opted to change his stage name in the mid-2000s to Rick Ross. The name was inspired by a drug kingpin, “Freeway” Rick Ross. His hip hop career jumped off in 2006 with his instant hit “Hustlin.”
