The first-person shooter (FPS) is the latest game in the popular Battlefield franchise. It's been rated M for Mature by the ESRB, with Content Descriptors for “Violence,” “Blood,” and “Strong Language.” This “M” rating means the game has been deemed inappropriate for anyone under the age of 17.
This game has received a PEGI 16 because it features strong and sustained violence and use of strong language. Not suitable for persons under 16 years of age.
In the second single player mission there is some frequent swearing so if you don't want your kids to hear that then keep them away from that mission. No dismemberment is present in the game. I would recommend this game to any child over 13 but no younger.
