Should a Synopsis Tell the Ending?

Not giving away the ending.
If your ending is truly great, then hiding it won't make it better. Your synopsis should always provide the full scope of your story, beginning to end.

Does the synopsis reveal the ending?

The synopsis is sometimes necessary because an agent or publisher wants to see, from beginning to end, what happens in your story. Thus, the synopsis must convey a book's entire narrative arc. It shows what happens and who changes, and it has to reveal the ending. ... It's not an editorial about your book.

How do you conclude a synopsis?

End with resolution of the book.

Your reader should understand exactly how the plot resolves. This is not a good time to introduce any new information about the book. It is never a good idea to leave out the ending in a synopsis. A publisher or agent needs to know exactly how it ends.
