The Hebel external wall system is a much more efficient and cheaper alternative to traditional rendered and painted masonry. Its speedy installation, reduced construction time, good thermal properties, and easy maintenance are a must for your next build.
Is Hebel expensive to build with?
If budgeting is a priority, it is also worth noting that brick is typically more expensive than Hebel. Supplying and installing a single-storey 20-square home with brick can cost anywhere from $12,000 to $15,000, whereas an equivalent Hebel installation can range from $9,000 to $11,000*.
Is Hebel better than double brick?
So in most cases, both Hebel and brick will perform pretty much at the same level. Hebel performs a bit better thermally though, but just a bit and the difference can be easily compensated with your insulation choice. Double brick with proper insulation in between will perform MUCH better than Hebel.
