Although their appearance may cause some men concern, there is nothing to worry about. Pearly penile papules are not a sign of a more serious, underlying condition and are considered a normal occurrence. Once they have developed, the growths typically persist throughout life, but they tend to fade with age.
Is it normal to have pearly penile papules?
While these tiny bumps may seem alarming, they are harmless and will tend to fade in appearance as you age. This condition is seen in 8 to 43 percent of men. The papules usually appear after puberty, and are more common in men who have not been circumcised.
Is penile papules a bad thing?
Another condition that's normal and no cause for concern is pearly penile papules. These whitish bumps appear on the glans (head) of the penis or along the edge of the glans in many guys. Pimples, cysts, ingrown hairs and papules won't do any harm — though if you try to pop them they could get infected.
