Should You Urinate as Much as You Drink?
It may seem obvious, but too much water will make you pee more. That could lower the salt in your blood to unhealthy levels. Follow the “Goldilocks” rule: Drink enough to keep your urine clear or light yellow, but not so much that you spend all day in the bathroom.

When you drink more, you'll pee more. Your body is more than 60% water, so if you're drinking the correct amount of water for your size, you'll be drinking a lot of water. For example, a 130-pound woman needs about 64 ounces of water each day to stay hydrated.

The consequence is that we lose more liquid through our pee than we take in. That's why we need to go to the toilet more often when we drink alcohol and also why we're at danger of becoming dehydrated unless we replace the excess lost fluid by drinking more water.
