LPT: DO NOT wave for pedestrians to cross in front of your car in the middle of streets and local highways. If a pedestrian / bicyclist is crossing a street that's got any sort of traffic, NEVER stop to let them pass ahead of you. Other traffic may not see them, or may choose not to stop.
