Stefan Kalipha is a Trinidadian-British actor. He has also been billed as Stephen Kalipha.
He was born in Trinidad, where he spent his childhood in Port of Spain. His cousin is filmmaker, photographer, painter, and writer Horace Ové. He moved to England in 1959. During drama school, he took on the name Kalipha from his grandfather. A 2022 interview described his ancestry as a “typically Trinidadian mix of Indian, German, African and Portuguese.”
