Stephen Ross is a US based real estate developer basically known for being the Chairman and the majority owner of The Related Companies. It is a worldwide firm for real estate development, founded by Ross in 1972. Some of the most popular projects developed by him include the Time Warner Center and the Hudson Yards Redevelopment. He is also the majority owner of Hard Rock Stadium and the Miami Dolphins.

Miami Dolphins is a professional football franchise competing for the NFL from Miami metropolitan area. Hard Rock Stadium is a football stadium situated in Miami Gardens, Florida, serving as home to the Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes. Born in 1940 in Detroit, Michigan, 76 years old Ross has also been involved in a number of philanthropic activities. He has been the biggest donor of the University of Michigan, from where he himself completed his studies. He was also one of the major contributors and supporters during Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign in 2012.

Married with four children, Ross now lives in New York, and Palm Beach, Florida, alternating between the two from time to time.

Stephen Ross had a humble childhood, and his father was an unsuccessful businessman. His dad was an inventor, who had invented fuel additives and vending machines. Not making much success in business, he moved his family to Detroit, where Ross’s grandfather managed a hotel. Having started a career as a tax attorney, Ross left his job in Coopers & Lybrand, and moved to the New York City with a loan of $10,000 from his mother.

Born in 1908 and died in 2005 at the age of 96, Max Fisher was an American businessman and was the paternal uncle of Stephen Ross. Max was a successful businessman with millions of properties and stakes in the market. He also served as a major consultant to a number of US presidents and administrators. Because Ross’s parents could not afford it, he was Max who used to finance his schooling. Ross calls Max as one of his major inspirations and role models.
