Taylor Swift's New 'Fearless' Cover: Get the Romantic Look

In honor of Taylor Swift recreating her iconic Fearless album (her way, this time), we’re recreating her laid-back look from the cover of the rerecorded album. The gold-tinted photo, which shows Swift from the bust up and mid-hair-toss, is clearly a remix of the cover of the original 2008 album. The first version is a studio shot, with Swift’s crimped hair flying around her face (presumably with a wind machine assist), and she wears an on-trend-for-the-era halter dress. 

The reboot cover is a little breezier, in keeping with the singer’s current folky vibe. Her hair seems a little less done, her posture is a little less posed, and instead of a sleek, club-appropriate dress she’s wearing a loose, ruched peasant blouse. The actual blouse she wears in the photo, the Fernanda Blouse by Brooklyn-based designer Ulla Johnson, is predictably sold out everywhere we looked. We did, however, find plenty of similar garments that can recreate Swift’s ultra-feminine and on-trend look.

Swift teased the cover image on her Instagram on March 25 (the pic now has more than two million Likes) and a few days ago posted the full-track list of Fearless (Taylor’s Version), writing, “I’m really honored that @keithurban is a part of this project, duetting on That’s When and singing harmonies on We Were Happy. I was his opening act during the Fearless album era and his music has inspired me endlessly. I’m counting down the minutes til we can all jump into this brave world together, filled with equal parts nostalgia and brand newness.”

The satin fabric gives the romantic, floaty top a slightly luxe update while the copper hue strikes the right balance between girly and sophisticated.

2. Ulla Johnson Serena Midi Dress

Another option we love from Ulla Johnson is this ruffled midi dress, which would look just as at home (and chic) on the prairie as Swift’s top. The fabric is gathered satin with smocking and ruffled tiers which give it a comfortable, romantic feel that absolutely encourages spinning around.
