There are a lot of ways to break up with someone and, let's be honest, none of them is painless. Doing it in person can lead to yelling fights. Over text message is ruthless and impersonal. Doing it in the heat of the moment may lead you to regret your choice, but thinking about it for too long and doing it in a really calculated way is kind of psychotic. Usually, one person gets it worse than the other, but nobody really wins.
