Tour de France 2022 Dates Released. This year’s Tour de France begins on Friday, July 1st and continues through Sunday, July 24th. The nine new sites and stages are indicated with an asterisk on the schedule below.

There will be two individual time trials in this year’s Tour marking the first time since 2017 that the event begins with a time trial. The race will also have a third straight year with one on the penultimate stage.

In 2022, the 100th Tour de France will take place from July 1-July 24. Stage 1 will begin at 9:30 a.m. ET on Peacock and USA Network.

The Tour de France 2022 shows a full 24-stage route. The ride will be divided into 3 segments between July 4 and 17. The first segment starts on July 4 and ends on July 9, then continues until July 25, before two rest days on July 11 and 18, with the final one being from July 22 to 28.

There will be 176 total riders for the Tour. There will be 22 teams of 8 riders each and the Tour will have a total of 256 riders.

There are about 21 stages in Tour de France; 6 flat, 7 hilly, 6 mountain stages, and 2 individual time trials.
