Update Genesect Raid Hour Makeup Event Announced

Update: A Genesect Burn Drive Raid Hour makeup event will be held on January 8, 2021, from 6 PM to 7 PM local time.

Previous Story: Trainers, Genesect’s Raid Hour seems to be canceled and there are zero raids after 6 PM local time.

Pokemon Go Genesect Raid Hour was scheduled to go live on January 6, from 6 to 7 PM local time, but there is not even one single Genesect Raid active worldwide.

We believe Niantic and Pokemon Go “shut down” the Raid Hour event due to the recent activities in Washington, DC, USA, but we are curious to know why the event is shut down worldwide.

Niantic and Pokemon Go didn’t share any details, so we hope to see an official announcement very soon.
