When making a world, it will be possible to select "Amplified Nether", which just continues generating the Nether up to the block build height, the same way it does up to 127 (so unlike the Overworld amplified, it won't totally destroy/ruin structures).
What is an amplified world?
Amplified, stylized in-game as AMPLIFIED, is a world type with a large range of altitude used in Overworld terrain generation. Amplified worlds generate as many large hills and mountains, which dwarf even the mountains biome seen in default world types, and more often than not reach the world height limit.
