The objective of the Final Admitting Examination (FAE) is to assess candidates’ total competency. With the cumulative principle, the FAE education programme is designed to integrate the knowledge, skills and values derived from earlier studies and the work environment.
How long are Fae exams?
Duration of all papers is four and a half hours. Candidates are required to choose one of five Elective papers on offer. In the Elective paper, Taxation, candidates may choose to sit either the Northern Ireland (NI) or the Republic of Ireland (ROI) version of the paper.
How many CAP 1 exams are there?
Examinations and E-Assessment CAP1 comprises four full papers (Finance, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting and Taxation) and 1 half paper. In order to pass each full paper the students must get 50/100; as Law is considered a half subject, students must score 25/50 in Law.
