What Are Pool Filters

Pool filters work by collecting excess debris which can keep harmful bacteria from infiltrating your pool water. There are many different types of filters available, but they are all designed to regularly clarify your pool.

What does a pool filter actually do?

The filter is one part of the circulatory system of the pool. Its job is to catch debris, so as to limit the particles floating out in the pool. When the filter is doing its job, it plays a big role in creating the crystal-clear water that every swimmer desires. Every filter does the same thing.

What does filter pool mean?

Filter. The lever should be on the ‘Filter’ setting most of the time. This is the setting that provides normal pool filtration by pushing the water through the filter media (sand, glass beads or D.E) that then traps any dirt and debris before the water is returned to the pool.
