What Days Are Prison Visits

Video visits will take place on Saturday and Sunday only, with the exception of California State Prison-Corcoran and Pelican Bay State Prison, which currently conduct video visits on Fridays.

How often are visits in prison?

Convicted prisoners are generally allowed 3-4 visits a month but this can increase as the prisoner progresses through the system. Remanded prisoners are allowed a minimum of 90 minutes visiting per week up to a maximum of seven visits per week.

Can you visit someone in prison every day?

Non-contact visits are restricted to three visitors and are limited in time (usually one to two hours, depending on the prison and the reason for the non-contact status of visits).
