What Did Lori Vallow Do? Why Is She Called Doomsday Mom?

Popularly known as the “doomsday mom,” Lori Vallow managed to get famous for all the infamous reasons. Back in 2019, when two of her kids went missing, investigations found that the bizarre act was concluded by Lori herself, who claimed the kids turned into “zombies,” and hence she killed them in a move to justify herself.

This horrific incident shed light on one of the most grueling and, perhaps, traumatizing incidents of all time, with further investigations making the case even worse. What remained unsettling for many is how could a mother possibly even think of killing her kids, let alone torture them and later label that it was for their own good.

What Did Lori Vallow Do?

In a spine-chilling turn of events, Lori Vallow brutally killed her two kids, calling herself a “goddess” and that her kids were “zombies.” According to Lori, her children are now in a much better state and are happy in their afterlife.

Lori confessed to having the ability to connect to spirits, something that she incorporated after she experienced a “near-death” experience while giving birth to one of her children, Tylee. Since then, Lori believes she has been able to connect to many of her deceased family and relatives from heaven, and now, even her kids.

Bodies of the two children, Tylee and JJ were first found in 2020, after the apparent missing. Lori, however, never filed a complaint for their missing so that she could keep receiving the benefit payments.

During her trials, Lori said that her kids started behaving like zombies, as she doubted whether they were under the influence of some dark energy. Lori killed Tammy as he was becoming an obstacle for her; she believed his death could benefit her through an insurance policy.

Why Is She Called Doomsday Mom?

In a traumatic incident, Lori killed two of her children and conspired to kill her romantic partner, Tammy. Apparently, the gruesome act involved Lori burning, mutilating, dismembering, and burying her two kids like “animals.”

Despite the horror that Lori has bought, her trials saw her with no visible signs of remorse whatsoever, as she was even seen smiling in some instances.

Lori even admitted that she did not murder anyone, stating that her kids had visited her in spiritual form and that they looked happy and joyous in their afterlife. In the court, Lori confessed, saying, “Jesus knows what I did, and he knows no one was murdered.”

“It was a disturbing experience when my son and daughter began behaving like zombies,” Lori added. Furthermore, she claimed to be a “goddess tasked with bringing about the end of the world as described in the Bible.”
