What Does a Spirovent Do

SpiroVent microbubble deaerators remove the microbubbles and circulating air left behind by automatic air vents, or after bleeding valves. Automatic air vents and bleeding valves cannot remove microbubbles or circulating air.

Where do you put Spirovent?

In hydronic heating systems, the Spirovent should be installed in the boiler supply line where the temperature is highest. Should the circulator be located on the supply line as well, the Spirovent should be installed between the boiler and the circulator where pressure is also the lowest.

Can you clean a Spirovent?

2. To clean the vent head, use a mild detergent and water or vinegar and water solution. For extremely dirty conditions, soak the head in mineral spirits for several hours and then clean thoroughly. The vent head is available as a replacement part if necessary.
